Oranga Hā – Tai Poutini (Stop Smoking West Coast)

Support provided by Oranga Hā – Tai Poutini Stop Smoking Service includes: 

  • an initial face-to-face meeting to tailor a stop smoking programme 

  • in-home appointments, available coast-wide 

  • follow-up by face-to-face meetings, text, phone or video call, email, or attending group sessions 

  • access to free nicotine replacement therapy (NRT), including patches, gum, and lozenges. 

  • The service also delivers the Smokefree Whānau Incentive Programme (see below)

Te Whatu Ora Te Tai o Poutini Smoking Cessation Service

Support provided by Te Whatu Ora Te Tai o Poutini Smoking Cessation Service includes: 

  • Free individual sessions to determine a cessation programme tailored to the patient's needs 

  • Access to free nicotine replacement therapy (NRT), including patches, gum, and lozenges. 

  • The service also delivers the Smokefree Whānau Incentive Programme (see below)

Smokefree Whānau Incentive Programme

This programme is to assist whānau who want to quit smoking during the pregnancy stage and early life of tamariki. 

In addition to the usual stop-smoking medication and support, this programme provides New World vouchers for people who live with and care for young tamariki (under 5 years of age)*
